Educational Stipend

Eligibility

The stipend can be used for continuing education, technical/trade schools, and on-line courses and testing. Applicants must be an LVHCC Member or ‘Ohana Member of a person in LVHCC. A stipend in the amount of $500 will be available for three recipients. All awards are distributed directly to the educational institutions unless previous coordination has occurred.

General

Two Stipends were awarded to the only applicants submitting the application packet at the 30th Prince Kuhio Ho’olaule’a and Pacific Island Festival on September 10, 2022.

Ho’omaika’i ‘ana ia ‘oe to Vincent & Michelle Souza, our 2022 Educational Stipend winners! They used their stipends to offset costs from their attendance at the 2022 Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement convention that happened on O’ahu.
