SUMMER EXPLORATION SERIES
The LVHCC grant application for the Summer 2023 period is below at the blue button.
The LVHCC Grant application period has been extended. We will announce closure once Kamehameha Schools begins providing their approvals to their applications.
Keiki & Parents must fill out and submit the LVHCC application AFTER having received a conditional acceptance letter from Kamehameha Schools. The conditional acceptance letter must be included with the LVHCC grant application to be considered.
The application period for the Kamehameha Schools Exploration is closed; however, other information is available at this link: https://www.ksbe.edu/apply/hoomakaikai/
Eligibility (New): Children must have completed 5th Grade and be entering 6th grade, be a Nevada resident, must not be a currently enrolled full-time at a Kamehameha campus, and must be able to fully participate in the program.
Ancestry verification
Kamehameha Schools’ admissions policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law. If you would like your child to be considered under that policy, your child’s Hawaiian ancestry must be verified by Kamehameha’s Ho‘oulu Verification Services.

Awarding of three LVHCC grants ($500 each) occurred on 22 May 2022 at our 2nd Annual “Spring into Wellness” Health Expo.
Ho’omaika’i ‘ana ia ‘oe to this year’s recipients of the Kamehameha Schools’ Ho’omaka’ika’i Exploration grants! Each winner received a $500 award for this summer’s Explorations camp. Our winners are: Hi’ilei Reis, Kaiolohia Anduha, and Iwalani Galbiso. Hulo!!
